Holiday Play: Creative Gift Wrapping Ideas
by American Specialty Toy Retailing Association   |   December 8   |   0 Comments
Gift wrapping. Love it or hate it? Let's be honest -- even the merriest of Santa's elves can get bored when wrapping feels like a chore.

Skip the mundane and really make your gift shine by playing with your gift wrapping. Our friends at eeBoo have some crafty ideas that will really make your packages shine!

The best part about these kid-friendly creative gift wrapping ideas? There is no wrong way to do it -- and it can double as a 'keep 'em busy' craft activity.

Top with a Snowflake
Make a snowflake out of felt and attach it to your package with a pipe cleaner or ribbon. You can even decorate the snowflake with glitter (perfect craft project for little fingers!).

Get Fancy with Fans
The "regular" paper fan gets fancy with this gift-topper idea. Using a pipe cleaner, attach three paper accordion fans together a whimsical wow-factor.

Felt Flowers
Use colorful felt for a funky vibe or use traditional holiday colors -- the choice is yours! This craft does require a needle and thread to secure the flowers, but no crazy sewing skills.

DIY Wrapping Paper
Just use tape to connect different patterned/colored paper together to create your own personal wrapping paper.

Make Your Own Ribbon Topper
Using playful/patterned paper, create your own ribbon topper. Looks particularly nice if you use foil paper.
